We have pure and fresh wild vegetables and herbs growing in nature, in forests, meadows and forest fields. We use them in cooking, health caring and for beauty purposes. During this tour you also get to know the Finnish culture and the locals.

Price includes: Group transfers from/to airport (at about 18 hours on arrival day, at about 9 hours on departure day), accommodation in double rooms at four guesthouses, full board (breakfast, picnic lunch, dinner), sauna every evening, herbal workshops and treatments, program, dried herbs to take with you as tea, guide, bicycles, canoes, biking from guesthouse to guesthouse 15-35 km along sandy and hilly roads.

Please note, that because we are saving nature, we take the bed linen with us from the first guesthouse to be used in all the other guesthouses, too. The bed linen bag will be carried by the luggage transfer. You will get clean towels in every guesthouse.

Extra price:  Yoga lessons from 2. day to 7. day, before breakfast in the morning and before sauna in the afternoon.

Program:

1. Day
Arrival in the evening at Puukarin Pysäkki.  About 1,5 hours driving time from the aiport. Getting to know the surroundings and participants. Sauna and dinner.

2. Day
Herbal workshop by Anni, the hostess of Puukari and a short herb tour in the nature, picking up herbs for our week program. After the tour we dry herbs for different purposes.

3. Day
After breakfast biking tour to next guesthouse with guide, 22 km. Along biking route there is a very nice small souvenir boutique. The hostess of Laitala, Henna shows you how to make herbal drink called Louhisaaren juoma. You also make a herbal bath for you feet. Sauna by the river!

4. Day
The workshop of herbal treatments by Henna. In the afternoon a special peat sauna for your whole body! Dinner in the evening.

5. Day
After breakfast biking tour to Männikkölä with guide, 35 km. We bike through the small town of Nurmes and visit the Karelian House Bomba. Also a possibility to do shopping.
At Männikkölä yoga lesson in the afternoon, sauna and dinner.

6. Day
After breakfast we bake Karelian pies. Today we also take the minibus and drive to Koli national park. In Koli we can admire the Finnish national landscape from the top of the highest hill in southern Finland, 347 m above sea level. Transfer by car, altogether 160 km. Hiking tour in the national park, about 8 km. At Männikkölä yoga lesson before sauna.

7. Day
After breakfast biking tour to Pihlajapuu with guide, 15 km. The afternoon is spent by learning the secrets of archery. Concentration and silence are the key words of archery.
The short workshop of sauna treatments and collecting the various bunch of leafy trees to use in the smoke sauna. During the day it is also possible to paddle on the nearby lake. After the sauna, glow-fried salmon by the campfire.
